ご紹介しておりますDIOGUARDI (ディオグァルディ)。




ダニエルさん自身が持つ”既に存在するものをカスタマイズする技術”の驚異のレベルを存分に感じられるRe.Touchedシリーズ。




お伝えしております通り4月5日(土)からの販売に先駆けて、全4種類の生地バリエーションの中から、これまではデニムベース、ウールベースのものを先に一部掲載致しました。

 

 

今日は残りの2種類を紹介させて頂きます。




“チノ”と”コーデュロイ”。

 

 

また、Re.Touchedコレクションは、全てが一点ものとなり、期間中は現物販売となりますが、それぞれS・M・Lの3サイズに振り分けられています。

 

Sサイズは、大体28インチ前後となり、女性から小柄な男性。

 

Mサイズは、30インチ、31インチ程度の男性の標準サイズ。

 

Lサイズは、32インチ〜34インチくらいのサイズ感という振り分けです。

 

Re.Touchedコレクションは、全く異なる原型のユーズドのパンツをベースとしながらも、全部が見事に”DIOGUARDIのスタイル”へと発展させているもの。

 

そのため、例えば同じMサイズの中でも、小さめ、大きめということがありますが、複数の選択肢の中からベストなものと出会って頂ければ幸いです。

ベースとして採用されるパンツの面影は残りながら、そこにダニエルさんが培ってきたテクニックが組み合わされることで、一点一点が漲るパワーと個性を持ったトラウザーズとして仕上がっていますので、期間の開始まで、心震わせてお待ちください。

 

 

 

 

まずは、コーデュロイから。

これはコーデュロイという生地ならではのことですが、それぞれの畝の太さに差があるため、同じコーデュロイのシリーズでも、他の生地と比べて、一点一点の見た目のムードが異なるように感じます。


上の写真は、畝の幅や間隔が細いのもの。


現在のファッションシーンでは、細畝のコーデュロイはあまり見かけることが多くないですが、DIOGUARDIのトラウザーズのフォルムや、その佇まいにはピッタリと合っているように思います。

コーデュロイの光沢と、DIOGUARDIの構築によって噴き出す糸とのコントラストとが目を惹きます。


生地の表面に陰影があることで、フラットな生地と比較しても、より視覚情報が多いのがコーデュロイ。


そのため、DIOGUARDIの少し前衛的な構造設計と組み合わされることにより、グッと強さが出るように感じます。

ハンガーにかけた状態でも、ウエスト周りや腰周りがパンと張り、既に造形が出ているのが見られる。


まるで、重力に逆らって”自立している”かのよう。

 

こちらはSサイズのものですが、かなりシャープなアウトラインを描きます。


ダニエルさんが手をかける以前では、このような状態ではなかったはずのものが、瞬く間に別次元のものへと変化を遂げているのが感じられます。

今回販売をするRe.Touchedのトラウザーズは、デニムの一点を除き、全てファスナーフロントのものとなります。


そのため、女性の方でも安心してお使い頂けると思います。

 

内側に目をやると、ウエストベルトがカットされ、その後縫って、再び繋ぎ合わせているのが分かる。

上の写真のように、ポケット袋布も、前身頃に挟み込むことがRe.Touchedの特徴的なもの。


これにより、前身頃のサイドポケットは容量が小さくなり、使用しにくくなるのですが、フロントポケットを使わないことで、腰回りのフォルムが保持されることになります。

バックのウエストベルトも、前身頃と同様に一度カットされ、後身頃側はダーツへと変化。

内側から見るとこのような仕様。


元々のパンツのサイズバランス、ウエストの構造の違いによって、ウエストベルトに配置される切り替えの数は増減します。


このディテールは、ヒップからウエストにかけての丸みに寄り添うような、柔らかいフィッティングに繋がる。



着用時の心地良さは、一般的なコーデュロイやチノなどのパンツでは、なかなか体験したことのない程のものだと思います。

前回の記事でも記載をしましたが、コーデュロイの生地であっても、足の付け根にあたる股の部分は、もう一方の身頃側に柔らかく入り込みます。


そして、くっきりと輪郭が描かれる内股のライン。



カジュアルなコーデュロイパンツでは持ち得ないような、着用時のエレガンスを実現しています。

先ほども記載しましたが、生地の表面の凹凸により陰影が生まれるコーデュロイという生地。


そのため、糸が噴き出ることで、他の生地のものと比較しても、見た目の質量が高いように感じます。

ジグザグステッチと、シングルステッチとで二度縫いされ、堅牢に処理される接ぎ合わせの箇所。

どの素材であっても、DIOGUARDIでは、クラシックなトラウザーズの考え方に基づいた仕立てを施しているため、裾はまつり縫いの仕様です。

 

 

次に、太畝タイプのコーデュロイをベースとしたもの。

 

 

 

こちらもSサイズ。

 

 

 

畝が太くなることに伴って、パイル部分が高くなり、生地の厚さも増します。


それにより、見た目の迫力が一層出てくるように感じます。

畝の部分が緯糸で形成されるのが、コーデュロイの特性。


経糸がパープル、緯糸がブラックという糸の配置のようで、カットされた生地端からはパープルの糸が露出する個体。

こちらのモデルは、露出したポケット袋布が白い生地ということもあり、ウエスト周りは鮮明なコントラストとなります。

全てが一点ものなのですが、ご検討頂けている方には、表地と裏の生地とのコントラストが気に入るベストバランスのものをお選び頂けたら幸いです。

後身頃は、ヒップ下のダーツから始まる切り替えです。

 

 

また、コーデュロイシリーズの中には、珍しいカラーリングも。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

しっかりと色の深みが残ったダークグリーンのコーデュロイ。

こちらはMサイズとなります。

 

 

 

 

Lサイズのバーガンディー。

ベルベットのような質感のものまで。

 

こちらはM。

 

全体的にはダークトーンではありますが、今回の期間中にご覧頂けるラインナップの中では、コーデュロイが最も生地のバリエーションに幅があると思います。




最後の生地はチノ。

 

 

 

 

チノと言っても、今回は、ベージュやカーキのものではなく、濃いグレーや、ネイビーなどのニュアンスのあるカラーリングがラインナップします。

 

 

 

 

デニムやコーデュロイと比べ、生地表面がソリッドで、キメの細かさも感じることから、露出した糸の雰囲気が際立つのがチノの特徴でもあると思います。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

イギリスに流通しているチノで、マーベルトや両玉縁のバックポケットなど、トラウザー然とした佇まい。

 

 

もちろん、ベースとするものの固有の特徴はありますが、オーセンティックなパンツディテールと、DIOGUARDIの前衛的なエッセンスとが掛け合わされることで、独創性の高い仕上がりになっていると思います。

 

 

 

 

 

端正につくられた元のパンツが持つディテールと、DIOGUARDIの手で加えられた部分とが同居することで、互いに引き立て合っているように見える。

 

こちらはLサイズのもの。

 

 

 

 

 

 

次に別生地のチノシリーズ。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

元々あったフロントのワンタックを活かしたまま仕上げたもの。

 

基本的には、Re.Touchedコレクションでは、前身頃の切り替えに様々なパターン要素が注ぎ込まれていると思うので、フロントタックがないものが中心です。

 

しかし、中には上記のように、身頃の大きな切り替えに加え、タックが存在するものも。

 

 

 

 

 

こちらは少し丸みのあるボリュームが出ながらも、シャープさも感じられるSサイズのもの。

 

 

チノのトラウザーズは、穿いた際に、生地そのものの滑らかな肌あたりを最も感じられるシリーズです。

 

チノ生地が元来、綾織りの中でも左綾のものが中心なのと、ユーズドの利点としての糸の”角”がないのも要因だと想像します。

 

 

 

 

チノの裾も、他のシリーズ同様にまつり縫い。

Introducing DIOGUARDI.

The Re.Touched series truly showcases the astonishing level of Daniel’s skill in customizing existing pieces.

As previously mentioned, ahead of the official release on Saturday, April 5th, we had already introduced part of the collection—specifically, the denim-based and wool-based variations—from a total of four fabric types.

Today, we’re pleased to present the remaining two types:

Chino and Corduroy.

Each piece in the Re.Touched collection is one-of-a-kind and will be sold as-is during the event. They are categorized into three sizes: S, M, and L.

• S size is suitable for women and smaller men.
• M size is a standard men’s size.
• L size is for those who need a larger fit.

The Re.Touched collection is based on completely different styles of used pants, which have all been remarkably transformed into the unique DIOGUARDI aesthetic.

Because of this, even within the same size category—like M—you may find some pieces run slightly smaller or larger. We hope you find the perfect fit among the various options.

While traces of the original base pants remain, Daniel’s honed techniques bring each piece to life as trousers full of energy and individuality.

We invite you to wait with excitement until the collection officially launches.

 

Let’s start with the corduroy.

One unique aspect of corduroy is the varying widths of its ridges (wales), which gives each piece a different visual mood—even within the same corduroy series—compared to other fabrics.

In today’s fashion scene, fine-wale corduroy is not commonly seen, but it feels like a perfect match for the silhouette and presence of DIOGUARDI’s trousers.

The contrast between the corduroy’s sheen and the expressive threads bursting out from DIOGUARDI’s construction draws the eye.

Because of the natural texture and shadows on the fabric’s surface, corduroy offers richer visual information than flat fabrics.

This works especially well with DIOGUARDI’s slightly avant-garde structural design, enhancing the overall sense of boldness.

Even when hanging, the trousers maintain a crisp shape around the waist and hips—you can already see the form taking shape.

It almost looks like they defy gravity and stand on their own.

The one shown here is size S, and it creates a very sharp silhouette.

You can really feel how a once-ordinary pair of trousers has been transformed into something on a whole different level by Daniel’s craftsmanship.

All of the trousers in this Re.Touched release—except for one denim piece—feature a zip front, making them comfortable and easy to wear for women as well.

When you look inside, you can see that the waistband has been cut, sewn, and reconnected.

As shown in the photo above, another Re.Touched hallmark is the pocket lining being inserted into the front panel.

This detail reduces the capacity of the side pockets and makes them less practical—but in turn, helps preserve the clean, sculptural lines around the waist by eliminating bulk.

The back waistband is also cut and restructured, with the back panel transitioning into darts, just like the front.

Seen from the inside, this is how the structure appears.

The number of these seams may vary depending on the original size and construction of the base trousers.

This detail allows the trousers to gently contour from hip to waist, resulting in a very natural and comfortable fit.

The comfort you feel when wearing them is unlike anything you’d expect from typical corduroy or chino pants.

As mentioned in the previous post, even with the thick corduroy fabric, the inseam softly curves into the opposite panel at the crotch, allowing for an elegant drape.

And the inner thigh seam draws a clean, defined line—a level of elegance not normally seen in casual corduroy trousers.

Again, due to the textured surface of the fabric, corduroy naturally creates shadows.

So when the threads burst outward from the seams, the visual weight and richness feel even more pronounced compared to other fabrics.

The joining seams are reinforced with both zigzag and single stitching, creating a very solid construction.

Regardless of the material, DIOGUARDI follows the principles of classic trouser tailoring, and so the hem is finished with blind stitching.

 

Next, a version based on wide-wale corduroy.

The photo shown is of a size S piece.

With wider wales, the pile becomes taller, and the fabric gains more thickness—this results in a more striking, powerful appearance.

A defining trait of corduroy is that the wales are formed by weft threads.

In this particular piece, it appears the warp threads are purple and the weft threads are black, so you can see purple threads peeking out from the cut edges of the fabric.

In this model, the pocket lining is made of white fabric, creating a sharp contrast around the waist area.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind, of course—but for those considering a purchase, we hope you find a balance of outer and inner fabrics that speaks to you, especially if you enjoy that kind of contrast.

On the back side, the panel construction begins with darts below the hips, offering a tailored shaping.

Within the corduroy series, you’ll also find some rare color variations.

There’s a dark green corduroy with rich depth in tone — this one is size M.

A burgundy version in size L, offering a deep, warm tone.

And even some with a velvety texture — this one is also M size.

Overall, the color palette leans dark, but among the entire lineup available during this special release period, corduroy offers the widest range of fabric variations.

 

The last fabric in the lineup is chino.

That said, this time the collection doesn’t feature the typical beige or khaki—instead, it includes nuanced colors like deep gray and navy.

Compared to denim and corduroy, chino fabric has a smoother, more refined surface, which makes the exposed threads stand out even more—one of chino’s distinctive traits.

These are British-sourced chinos, originally designed with trouser-like details such as waistband linings (marbelts) and double-welt back pockets, giving them a very tailored presence.

Of course, each base garment has its own unique characteristics, but when these authentic trouser details are combined with DIOGUARDI’s avant-garde touches, the result is a truly creative and distinctive piece.

The refined details of the original trousers coexist with the interventions made by Daniel, and the contrast between the two enhances the appeal of both.

The piece shown here is size L.

Next, a different chino piece using another type of fabric.

This one retains the original single front pleat, a detail left intact in the redesign.

In general, Re.Touched pieces tend to feature complex patterning and panel work on the front, often resulting in flat-front styles.

However, some items, like this one, feature both bold paneling and pleats, offering a unique blend of volume and structure.

This size S piece, for example, has a rounded shape with a sharp silhouette—a perfect balance.

Among all the Re.Touched trousers, the chino styles provide the smoothest feel against the skin when worn.

That’s likely due to two things: first, chino fabric is typically made with a left-hand twill weave, which is known for its softness; and second, being used garments, the fibers have worn down any sharpness, adding to the comfort.

Like the other series, the hems are finished with blind stitching for a refined finish.

With this, we’ve now introduced the full Re.Touched series.
