今日は、DIOGUARDI (ディオグァルディ)について紹介します。

 

 

 

以前に、こちらのshop talkで、代表の秋吉とともにロンドンのデザイナーのアトリエを訪れた際のことを掲載致しました。

貴重な才能 トラウザーズテーラー “DIOGUARDI”

 

 

 

DIOGUARDIは、2つのコレクションで構成されます。

 

今までshop talkでは、Re.Touched Collectionについて紹介したことがありました。

 

 

Re.Touchedでは、これまでのデザイナーのキャリアの中で培った”既に存在するものをカスタマイズする技術”が注がれたコレクション。

 

 

対して、これよりお披露目するものは、違った側面で生み出されるものとなります。

 

 

 

”Signature Trousers”

 

 

 

このコレクションは、ヨーロッパ各地の厳選された素材を用いて、テーラーとの協業により生み出されるもの。

 

 

9月より日本の限られた店舗様でのオーダー形式のイベントが始まることもあり、その概要を紹介します。

 

 

Signature Trousersは、001〜009のナンバーが付き、それぞれに個性のある9種類のトラウザーズで構成しています。

 

 

自身のテーラーでの経験に基づいた上で、クラシックなトラウザーを再定義するために、あらゆることを研究し、パンツを構成する全ての要素に意義を与えています。

 

 

そのラインナップは、デザイナーが17〜18歳の頃から作り続けてきた、”シグネチャーシルエット”と呼ぶ、美しさが際立つものから、他に類を見ないような前衛的な構築のものまで存在します。

 

 

この振れ幅こそ、DIOGUARDIならではです。

 

 

デザイナーは「目に見える全てのディテールは、私の知識と好みに基づいてデザインしたものです。」と言います。

 

 

また、自らがテクニックに磨きをかけ続けたパターンワークにより、流れるようなアウトラインと、エレガントなドレープ。

 

更には、着用時のフィッティングの素晴らしさを誇ります。

 

 

 

このコレクションをご覧頂けると、パンツのみで展開するブランドの真髄が感じられると思います。

 

 

 

これまで、パリと日本で開催した展示会を通じて、審美眼のあるバイヤーの方々にご覧いただきましたが、皆様にSignature Trousersのコレクションに称賛の声を頂戴しました。

上記のように、伝統的なテーラーの技を体得しながらも、自ら磨き上げてきた感性を掛け合わせ表現することで、DIOGUARDIのトラウザーズを生み出しています。

 

 

これにより、現代では他のブランドと比較ができないような、高い独自性を持つコレクションが完成していると感じています。

 

 

 

そして、以下にSignature Trousersについてのデザイナーからの言葉を掲載します。

 

 

「すべてのSignature Trousersは、エレガンスと自由から生まれました。
そこにはヴィンテージ・テーラリングの洗練が宿り、内には静かな宝物が秘められています。

低く設定したクロッチは、優雅さを失わずに軽やかに、流れるように動く――ダンサーの必然から得た着想です。

レッグはすっきりとテーパードし、カットは鋭く保たれる。
動きの中で仕立て上げられるシルエットです。

 

現代的なディテールが仕上げを担い、内に宿る美を最先端の感性で讃えます。

Introducing DIOGUARDI

Previously, in our Shop Talk, we published a piece about visiting the designer’s atelier in London together with our director, Nobu.

“A Rare Talent: Trousers Tailor DIOGUARDI”

 

DIOGUARDI is composed of two collections.

Up to now, in Shop Talk we have introduced the Re.Touched Collection—a line that channels the designer’s career-long expertise in “customising what already exists.”

In contrast, what we unveil here is created from a different facet:

 

“Signature Trousers.”

 

This collection is crafted in collaboration with tailors, using carefully selected materials sourced across Europe.

As we will begin made-to-order events at selected stores in Japan from September, we would like to share an overview.

Signature Trousers consists of nine models numbered 001–009, each with its own character.
Grounded in the designer’s experience as a tailor, the aim is to redefine classic trousers—researching every aspect and assigning meaning to each element that constructs the garment.

The line-up ranges from the striking beauty of pieces the designer has continued to create since the age of 17–18—what he calls his “signature silhouette”—to constructions so avant-garde they are unlike anything else.
This breadth is precisely what makes DIOGUARDI unique.

 

The designer says, “Every visible detail is something I have designed based on my knowledge and preferences.”

 

His continually honed pattern work yields flowing outlines and elegant drape—together with an exceptional fit when worn.
We believe this collection allows you to experience the very essence of a brand devoted solely to trousers.

Through exhibitions held in Paris and Japan, the collection has been viewed by discerning buyers and has received high praise.
By mastering traditional tailoring techniques and expressing them through a finely tuned sensibility, DIOGUARDI creates trousers with a level of originality that is difficult to compare with anything else today.

 

Below is a message from the designer about Signature Trousers:

 

“Every Signature Trousers is born from elegance and freedom.
Within them resides the refinement of vintage tailoring and quiet treasures.
The lowered crotch takes inspiration from a dancer’s need—to move lightly and to flow without losing grace.
The legs taper cleanly and the cut remains sharp: a silhouette tailored in motion.
Contemporary details complete the piece, celebrating the beauty within through a cutting-edge sensibility.
They are not merely trousers—they are stories that transcend time and still live on.”
