He serves as the main point of contact for both retail partners and customers who have purchased the jewelry, working closely with the designer.<\/p>\n<p>When I was still on the client side, I had the opportunity to interact with both the brand and with Shiiki, and I was deeply impressed by the way he approached his role. That experience led me to proudly represent DAN TOMIMATSU as a retail staff member.<\/p>\n<p>Now that I\u2019ve joined the LE BERGER team myself, the way I engage with the brand\u2014and how I see it\u2014has changed significantly.<br \/>\nHaving only been part of the team for about six months, I feel I still view things somewhat objectively, from the outside looking in.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I\u2019d like to take this opportunity to share a recent experience I had\u2014an encounter with a side of LE BERGER\u2019s work I hadn\u2019t known before.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a previous article, I introduced <strong>\u201cAbout LE BERGER\u201d<\/strong>, also part of this shop talk series:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Published June 10, 2025<\/em><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leberger.jp\/shoptalk\/le-berger-%e3%81%ab%e3%81%a4%e3%81%84%e3%81%a6\/\">About LE BERGER<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As noted in that piece, one unique characteristic of LE BERGER is that all our members come from retail backgrounds\u2014a rarity among sales agents in the apparel industry.<\/p>\n<p>Because we\u2019ve all been on the shop floor ourselves, we\u2019re able to pass on valuable insight to in-store staff, such as what\u2019s important when selling a product or how to convey the essence of a brand when talking with customers.<\/p>\n<p>In July, I had the chance to join a visit to one of our partner stores in Ginza, where we introduced DAN TOMIMATSU\u2019s pieces to the sales staff.<\/p>\n<p>Designer Dan-san and Shiiki from LE BERGER were both present, and I had the opportunity to accompany them.<\/p>\n<p>Back when I was a retail buyer handling DAN TOMIMATSU, Shiiki was the brand liaison\u2014as I mentioned earlier. He not only shared the brand\u2019s concept and philosophy with us, but also came directly to our store whenever we hosted events, helping to explain the brand alongside us on the shop floor.<\/p>\n<p>I even remember a particular email conversation we had where Shiiki shared his thoughts on one of the collections. I was so moved by the way he described it that I took a screenshot and saved it\u2014just so I could revisit it anytime. (Yes, really!)<\/p>\n<p>Even back then, I was constantly in awe of how deeply he thought about DAN TOMIMATSU\u2019s work. His understanding extended far beyond surface-level features\u2014he seemed genuinely attuned to the designer\u2019s thinking and approach, to the point where their perspectives felt aligned.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a photo from our visit to the Ginza store in July:<br \/>\nOn the left is Shiiki from LE BERGER, and on the right is Dan, the designer behind DAN TOMIMATSU.<\/p>\n<p>Because Dan tends to avoid stepping forward publicly, Shiiki took the lead in sharing the brand\u2019s story on his behalf.<\/p>\n<p>I was there to document the visit and observe. I could sense just how deeply engaged the store staff were in learning about DAN TOMIMATSU. It felt like a truly passionate and meaningful time.<\/p>\n<p>Once the pieces are in-store, it\u2019s the sales staff who share the story of the brand directly with customers. Keeping that in mind, Shiiki not only gave clear explanations about the products themselves, but also shared thoughtful, supportive stories and insights gathered through his years of experience working closely with the brand.<\/p>\n<p>At LE BERGER, this kind of hands-on activity is something we often do\u2014not only presenting a brand\u2019s vision but also standing in-store when needed.<\/p>\n<p>The reason is simple: we believe that every salesperson should be able to face the customer with full confidence and zero uncertainty when talking about a brand.<\/p>\n<p>Because we\u2019ve all been in those shoes, we want to be a source of support for people on the shop floor.<\/p>\n<p>Sales is not an easy job.
