In the past, there were many weaving mills throughout Japan\u2019s textile-producing regions.
\nBecause weaving mills require large plots of land, when the real estate bubble occurred in Japan in the 1980s, many of them shifted their business from weaving to real estate. As a result, the number of mills gradually declined.
\nToday, only a very limited number remain compared with the past, but it is said that the factories that still exist are those that have consistently continued to refine their skills.<\/p>\n

Among them, the mills Yamauchi works with include a wool weaving mill that has been in operation for over 110 years and is regarded as one of the oldest and finest in Japan, as well as a leading cotton weaving mill that represents Japan, known for creating distinctive fabrics using some of the world\u2019s most advanced and innovative looms.<\/p>\n
