Until just recently, I was responsible for the direction of a select shop as well as buying operations associated with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That role continued until early January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, I have started my journey with LE BERGER and Herd Limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January, I accompanied the Paris Men’s Showroom (exhibition) as part of my new role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until now, I had been attending exhibitions as a buyer, making appointments and selecting items. However, standing on the other side, I realized that the perspective, the experience, and what I feel each day are completely different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n



As a buyer, I used to travel to Tokyo and occasionally overseas to evaluate and select pre-prepared collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, from the showroom side, preparations and dismantling take place before and after the exhibition. On top of that, collection samples must be transported all the way to Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If an appointment is scheduled, we need to be ready beforehand. In a permanent showroom, this isn’t an issue, but when it’s not, we must move to the designated location before the appointment time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a buyer, it was often difficult to strictly follow a pre-planned schedule of appointments (at least for me). But at the same time, those running the showroom also have to be prepared to wait for buyers, making it challenging for both sides to stick to a rigid schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thinking about it this way, I feel that an exhibition is a living entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is especially true because it is a place where brands and buyers engage in a serious, face-to-face exchange\u2014a real battle of perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And this time, I visited several showrooms in Paris not as a buyer making purchases, nor as a salesperson presenting and selling to buyers, but from a completely different perspective.

My role is to convey the reality of the scene.

After all, only a very limited number of people can actually visit and witness these exhibitions firsthand. Even among buyers, only those who travel to Paris and have scheduled appointments get to experience it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even for those who do visit the exhibition halls or showrooms, there are far more people beyond them who are connected to this process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why I want to document and share the reality of the field where LE BERGER and Herd Limited are involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, beyond just reporting, I hope to use this platform to express my own perspective on the craftsmanship of these brands\u2014to delve deeper into their creative process and uncover their underlying truths, so that I can share them with you.
